NFL Playoff Best Ball is arguably the most unique (and crazy) form of Best Ball. It is largely a combination between traditional NFL Best Ball and Futures Markets in the Sports Betting area. Because you not only need to select players who perform well, but also players on teams who advance throughout the playoffs, it creates a difficult push and pull for ranking players between their odds to make it to the Super Bowl and their weekly projection and upside.
Both Underdog Fantasy and Drafters Fantasy have a variety of NFL Playoff Best Ball tournaments available.
Additionally, if you are looking for real-time updated Playoff Odds, both 538 and Football Outsiders offer high quality models that show the probabilities of every possible scenario for each team in contention for the Playoffs.
Below are our Rankings for NFL Playoff Best Ball tournaments (structured so that they will work for both Underdog and Drafters). Our rankings are set up to favor the teams we believe to be the strongest contenders to advance to the Super Bowl. This futures aspect is balanced out by the projections for each individual player (powered by RotoGrinders). So you will see certain players who project lower than others ranked higher, but when the projection becomes too great for a player on a team we believe projects poorly to advance far in the playoffs, the higher projecting player will rank higher.
These rankings will be continually updated on an ad-hoc basis leading up to the kickoff of the NFL Playoffs.
